Start of construction of the 2nd construction phase Marriott Hamburg Refurbishment

The first construction phase of the conversion and renovation work at the Marriott Hotel in Hamburg was completed on time in December 2023. Half of the hotel's 237 rooms were renovated, as were all of the technology shafts and bathrooms. The corridors and common areas on the room floors 1st to 6th floor of the first construction phase were also renovated. In the second construction phase of the hotel and in all common areas, hotel operations have continued to run smoothly so far. The renovation of the second construction phase will start in January 2024. The overall completion is planned for Christmas 2024.

Building permit for the headquarters of the coop eG cooperative

After submitting the complete building application documents to the city of Kiel at the beginning of December 2022, coop eG as the developer was able to receive the building permit for the new building of the coop eG cooperative's headquarters at the end of May 2023 after less than 6 months. The reason for the quick building permit was complete, correct building application documents agreed with the authorities and a clear starting point. Both are basic requirements that are often forgotten when the authorities expect building applications to be processed quickly and building applications are submitted that cannot withstand any examination, no matter how superficial.

After successful building permits and completion of almost all preparatory work without permits, construction of the district development over a gross floor area of ​​around 33,000 m² in Kiel Gaarden with the construction of office, practice and commercial space, a daycare center and around 100 rental apartments incl. 3 underground car parks now nothing in the way.

Certification according to the DGNB Gold standard is sought for the entire project. Completion is scheduled for 2026.

VITZTHUM Projektmanagement GmbH is fully responsible for project management and has previously looked after the property in technical asset management and then in the project development phase.

Completion and commissioning of the Sky Campus Nordport

Just over a year after the topping-out ceremony, the Sky Campus Nordport in Hamburg-Norderstedt was put into operation. The modern office building has a gross floor area of almost 10,600 m² and offers state-of-the-art workplaces and versatile common areas for around 400 Serrala Group employees.

The U-shaped building is not only located in the immediate vicinity of Hamburg Airport's runways, but also boasts a spacious roof terrace and sustainable construction in accordance with the DGNB Gold standard. A separate multi-storey car park, which provides sufficient parking spaces for employees and guests, completes the Sky Campus.

The commissioning marks a milestone in the project, in which VITZTHUM Projektmanagement successfully acted in an advisory and project controlling capacity for the buyer of the property from the purchase appraisal through the entire construction phase to project completion.
